Itinerary of the 4 Days 3 Nights Tour to Cusco, Sacred Valley of the Incas, and Machu Picchu:

DAY 01: CITY TOUR

Upon arrival in Cusco, our driver will be waiting for you at the airport to transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon, between 13:00 hrs and 13:35 hrs, we will pick you up from your hotel. At 13:45 hrs, we will start the tour in the Plaza de Armas, guided by our professional guide. This charming half-day trip covers incredible places within and near the city, representative of the Inca and Spanish periods. • The Cathedral of Cusco (Optional): A colonial religious monument of extraordinary artistic value.
• The palace of Qorikancha and the Convent of Santo Domingo: Religious center known as the “Temple of the Sun.”
• Sacsayhuamán: Located 3 km from the city of Cusco. It is famous for its enormous carved stones, some of which are 9 m / 30 ft high and weigh more than 350 tons. This is where the Inti Raymi or “Festival of the Sun” takes place.
• Qenqo: Ceremonial and ritual center, amphitheater where sacrifices are made.
• Puka-Pukará: Ancient tambo, surveillance post along the Inca roads.
• Tambomachay: Located 7 km from the city of Cusco. It is a ceremonial center of water worship. In the afternoon, we return to Cusco.

DAY 02: TOUR TO THE SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS

This day we will make the tour in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the tour that we will start at 08:30 a.m. in the morning. We will pick you up from your hotel to go to Pisaq, which is a typical market, with picturesque terraces cultivated on the mountain. We will visit the archaeological group of Pisaq. It is also famous for its fairs where beautiful handicrafts can be bought. Then we will head towards Urubamba, where we have included a buffet lunch. Then we will go to the Fortress of Ollantaytambo. Finally, we will head to the Ollantaytambo train station, to board the train that leaves at 16.36 hours to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will arrive at 18.09 hours. We will spend the night in a selected hotel in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu). The service of the tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas in one day includes a visit to the following tourist places:

• The Archaeological Center of Pisac: This ancient Inca citadel is located at the top of a hill and is cataloged as an amazing site made up of ceremonial centers, temples, and the most incredible Inca cemetery in all of Peru.
• The Artisan Market of Pisac: It is the largest artisan and tourist market in the region, occupying almost the entire main square of Pisac. It is a very popular place where collectors from all over the world occasionally come.
• Village of Ollantaytambo: The village of Ollantaytambo is small and picturesque, with narrow streets. We will have the opportunity to visit its archaeological center, which was an important military stronghold during the Spanish invasion.
• Archaeological Complex of Ollantaytambo: It is a megalithic construction, considered by some researchers as the work of beings from another world due to the great complexity of its formation. It became very important at the time of the Spanish invasion when it was used as a fortress by Manco Inca in the year 1536. Includes:

DAY 03: TOUR TO MACHU PICCHU

Today is the most anticipated day of the Machu Picchu 4 Days / 3 Nights Tour. After getting up very early and having breakfast, we will climb to the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, then we will have the guided tour for approximately 2 hours, in the tour you will visit the most important places of this city such as: the Main Square, the Circular Tower, the Intihuatana, the Sacred Solar Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, and the Cemeteries. Once the tour of the Machu Picchu citadel is concluded, optionally: we can trek to the top of Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountain, this will take us a few hours, in which you can enjoy the landscape and take some breathtaking views (This visit is without a guide). Then we will descend by bus to Aguas Calientes and in the afternoon we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our staff will be waiting for you, for the bus transportation to the city of Cusco and take you to your hotel.
