The Rainbow Mountain of Peru, also known as Vinicunca, Winicunca, Seven Color Mountain, and Rainbow Mountain, has increased its popularity in recent years and could be on its way to becoming the second most visited attraction in Peru after Machu Picchu. It is advisable to spend at least 2 days in Cusco for acclimatization purposes. Remember that, although the hike is approximately 6 hours, if you are not well acclimatized, you may have difficulties during the journey.

      Day 1: Cusco – Checacupe – Pitumarca- Quechuyno- Vinicunca-Cusco

The Rainbow Mountain, known as the Seven Color Mountain, Red Mountain, Vinicunca Mountain, is a magical place where its trails were part of the ancient Quechua culture, and used to exchange their products (barter products), along with other Quechua regions, it has now become a natural wonder similar to the rainbow mountain in China. ITINERARY Early at approximately 03:30 hours, we will pick you up from the hotel in Cusco to begin the journey to the Qollasuyo, which was an important part of the Tawantinsuyo –, arriving at the town of Checacupe (approximately 3 hours), then continuing through Pitumarca, finally arriving at Quechuyno (from here the hike begins), in this place we will also have our breakfast and after a brief talk, we will start our hike at the foot of the Ausangate snow-capped mountain, a climb of approximately 3 hours to the highest point of the colored hill (5200 meters above sea level), during this journey we will have the opportunity to see the different varieties of South American camelids, once at the colored hill, we will have time to take photographs of this enigmatic place.
